We have a special event on April 11 for World Parkinson’s Day. Queensland Ballet is hosting a World Parkinson’s Day event, class from 11:30-12:15 and then a tea afterwards.

Event details

To honour World Parkinson’s Day, Queensland Ballet will be hosting a special Dance for Parkinson’s event.

Date: Sunday 11 April

Time: 11:30am – 12:45pm

Location: Queensland Ballet Studios, 34 Beesley Street, West End

On the day

Teachers and music

This special class will be lead by Teaching Artists Erica Rose Jeffrey (Director of Dance for Parkinson’s Australia) and Queensland Ballet Teaching Artist Lily Spencer. It will include live music accompaniment by Robert Manley.

Morning tea

Following the class will be an informal morning tea in the foyer with the participants, their carers or family, and the Teaching Artists.

Access for all

Participants are encouraged to share this experience with a family member or carer who are able to join in class free of charge

What to wear

We’d love you to wear comfortable purple clothes or purple accessories to class!
