DPA is thrilled to announce the first ever advanced workshops, for dance teachers and health professionals, will be held in Canberra on Saturday 1 & Sunday 2 October, at Belconnen Arts Centre, 10 minutes west of the City Centre. http://www.belconnenartscentre.com.au/
This professional development will provide critical tools, advanced strategies and information relating to Dance for Parkinson’s teaching practice. Open to practitioners who have completed the Dance for PD® Introductory Training, the workshop will integrate global best practices in developing and implementing this unique program. Specialised training, guest speakers and peer mentoring will form the basis of the weekend learning, which will also include time for practical activity, discussion, exchange and networking, as well as an optional viewing of Capturing Grace, and a social get-together. This workshop is a pre-requisite to eligibility for the Dance for PD®Certification program.
Cost of 2 day course, including all materials: $295. This does not include accommodation which you will need to book separately – check out http://www.trivago.com.au/canberra-444034/hotel
