Australian Capital Territory April 2026 Updates

By April 11, 2026No Comments

With a long and balmy summer we have had a wonderful start to our ZEST classes across the ACT. From our start in 2013 with one class at Belco Arts Centre, we now have 16 regular classes taking place across the ACT for everyone – and more on the brew! Check them all out here! We are so thrilled to share our passion with so many, and support Canberrans investing in their ongoing health and wellbeing. Physically, cognitively and socially! We are very excited to confirm our standing ZESTup class at and in partnership with Canberra Dance Theatre will continue under the brilliant leadership of Debora. Feedback and pics indicate much fun is being had!

We have been thrilled to participate in the recent UPSTAGEING CREATIVE AGEING ARTS FESTIVAL for seniors, celebrated across the ACT from March 20 – 29. This included a fun open class at Hughes Community Centre on 20/3, and at Tuggeranong Arts Centre on 25/3 where we welcomed some 5 new dancers interested to have a bit of ZEST in their life. On 26/3 we held a very enjoyable and entertaining class at the National Portrait Gallery, inspired by the stunning video portrait of THE MATILDAS. See the evidence in the pics above where many a cool soccer move was made!

This autumn term we will again be inspired by music from fabulous and famous and favourite music from a wide variety of stage and screen productions. Always a favourite, these musical offerings really get us moving, with great memories of many a wonderful trip to the theatre. While some of our Dance Teaching Artists are taking some time off for travel over the coming months, we are delighted to welcome some of our guest tutors to help us out – thanks to Ruth, Kirsty and Robyn!

Happy dancing – and visitors are always welcome to join us at many of our classes whenever you are in town.
