Carina Classes Continue to Grow!
Our classes at Carina have continued to grow, with our largest cohort yet nearly 30 participants and carers! It’s been wonderful to see so many familiar faces return week after week, and to witness the benefits these classes bring socially, emotionally, physically, and cognitively.
Led by Teaching Artists Katrina George and Nicole West, with support from our wonderful volunteers Lyndyl, Wendy, and Sammi, the group is now working towards an exciting showcase during Queensland Seniors Month. This will be a fantastic opportunity for participants to learn and master a group dance piece and invite family and friends to celebrate their achievements.
Once a month, participants also enjoy a post-class coffee catch-up with our teaching artists and volunteers, a lovely chance to connect, share stories, and build community.
